Expatriation is  a tricky, tricky game. On the one hand, you have the ability to live out your wildest secret agent manly-man fantasies of wealth, women, family and personal freedom. On the other, you have the very real possibility of being caught in Shaft’s precarious situations–especially when you try to go it alone.

So what’s the difference between being smart and being intelligent, Nada? Good question. Glad you asked.

The difference between being smart and being intelligent is this: Smart Men learn from their mistakes. Intelligent Men learn from the mistakes of OTHERS.

And when it comes to mistakes moving overseas let me tell you, I’ve really stubbed my toe. But that’s a story for another day, Pilgrim.

Of the times I’ve taught the FIE International Relocation eCourse I always see a pattern emerge. I call it "snatching defeat from the jaws of victory." You see, the men that  graduate my course have completed about 95% of what they need to move overseas in a long-term, sustainable manner. The other 5% you can’t account for no matter how hard you try–that’s just life.

And these guys are so stoked, at the onset; so fired up with enthusiasm, zest and joie de vivre that I feed off of that positive energy and it allows me to dig into my memory banks and pull out gems of wisdom I’d long since forgotten over my 13 year journey. You’d think every thing was gravy then right? 

WRONG.

Many (not all of them mind you but many) arrive to a certain point, that zentih–then they drop right over a cliff and disappear. It’s like they fly over the Bermuda Triangle. Baffles me, quite frankly.

Can’t quite put my finger on it but I have my suspicions: I think they actually fear VICTORY. I suspect they arrive at a point where they can see success right around the bend; they get an actual glimpse of the "Promised Land" they’ve fantasized so long and often about and subconsciously begin to place new stumbling blocks and obstacles in their paths. Is it because they believe they’ll be disappointed? Do they cave in to family pressure? Who knows.

What I try to get across to them is that you don’t know what’s on the other side until you take that leap of faith. And I teach them the best way to research and experience 80% of what they need to know before ever setting one foot in country. That way, there are no surprises–at least not any unpleasant ones.

So what’s the solution to this Nada? Good question. Glad you asked. Seeing as how I’m not quite sure what it is, I’m going to go out on a limb and say it’s "perfect picture" syndrome. They expect to have the entire puzzle laid out neatly before they dip their pinky toe in the pool.

Forget perfection. Perfectionism is the enemy of action. Kill it, immediately. Excuses like, "I’ll never have enough scratch" or "My language skills aren’t quite up to par" are just that: excuses. Besides, I show you exactly how to overcome these obstacles or at least mitigate them inside my ecourse. You can’t let perfect stop you from doing.

Remember: it doesn’t have to be perfect. It just has to be good enough.

The more excuses you make the more time you waste from not doing the things YOU want to do. And let me tell you, life outside the Anglosphere can be as mild as a Sunday afternoon jam sandwich or as wild as Disneyland, Six Flags and Las Vegas, on New Years’ Eve while drunk off  Absolut/Red Bulls and rolling on "E". All rolled into one.

I’ll put it like this:

You can turn a bad plan into a good one, but you can’t turn no plan into a good plan.

So get going. Put forth that extra effort no matter how uncomfortable it makes you and GET GOING.

"The mat is my church, the ground is my heaven, Jiu-Jitsu is my religion."–BJJ Featherweight legend Draculino. Well about 10 years ago or so, there was a pretty big rivalry between BJJ guys and Sambo guys. [The word "Sambo" is an acronym of the Russian words (SAMozashchita Bez Oruzhiya), meaning "self-defense without weapons".--Wikipedia.]

At that time, BJJ was kicking everyone’s ass but had a hole in its strategy big enough to drive a Mack truck through it: ignorance of leglocks. And when the heavies of these 2 camps met behind closed doors, rumor has it that BJJ discovered they needed to plug that leak real quick. You see, Sambo (like BJJ) has its base in Japanese Judo but they specialize in lower body submissions.

Now, I don’t know how much truth there is to it, but i read an interesting comment about the Russian martial art Sambo a few years ago. It was military related. Supposedly the Russians believed that if you broke a mans leg in battle, you were really taking 3 men out of the fray: the man who’s leg you broke, and the 2 men that had to carry him.

So what’s that got to do with the tea in China, Nada? Good question. Glad you asked. We men can use Sambo strategy to swing the pendulum back to our favor. There are 3 manifestations of self defense against Entitlement Materialist Feminism: 1) Celibacy, 2) Expat/Foreign Wives and 3) Pick Up Artists. Obviously, my camp is the Expatriation strategy.

When you go expat, you defeat Entitlement Feminism by starving the system legally.

It would be enjoyable to see what would become of the woman’s nation if all the men did in fact expat. All of them.

I have a very important question for you today, pilgrim. One that will determine your destiny. Now before we begin, there are some parameters that we must both agree upon and I don’t believing in mincing words.

1. You are reading this because you realize that Entitlement Feminist 1st World Societies (1WS) are in a sad, sad state of affairs–in other words, Nero fiddles.
2. You believe that barring some type of mass awakening plus massive action, things are headed in the wrong direction and will correct themselves either the ‘easy’  way or real easy.
3. You prefer to have control over your own destiny and plan to do something about it.

Now, given those parameters there are two ways to go about things from here on out. Both ways are represented by the photos below. And make no mistake, the ball is already in motion. And whether you like it or not:

You have to make a conscious decision NOW or the decision will be made FOR you.

You can go through Door #1–the DIMS route: "Digging In to Make a Stand"

OR 

You can choose Door #2–GTFO: expatriation or Getting The "Hell" Out.

It’s blatantly obvious, I’ve cut my losses and chose door #2. Now you may be asking yourself, ‘"Well what happens when things go south there, Nada?" Good question. Glad you asked.

I’ll just pack my stuff and head to the next expat destination.

When I was a kid, I was a Kenny Rogers fan. Actually, my sister and I both were. She would listen to "Lady" while my favorite tune of his was "The Gambler". And don’t front on Kenny Rogers, bro. He failed at one genre and then got back up, reinvented himself and became one of the most successful recording artists of all time.

He’s definitely a winner in my book. And while falling down, dusting yourself off and keeping it moving is an awesome lesson, it’s not the one I wanted to teach you today.

As I mentioned, Rogers wrote some top notch stuff. And if you listen closely,  "The Gambler" has a great lesson in it. too. I mean, everyone can recite that classic chorus, right?

"You got to know when to hold’em; know when to fold’em; know when to walk away; know when to run…"

Stay with me.

Now, when you go expat you have to do the same thing. What do I mean? I mean when moving overseas, you have to have utter and complete discipline.

Pay close attention:

You have to know when to stand up and scream at the top of your lungs but also when to STFD and STFU.

Know the difference between those 2 "whens"? If not, then you need to listen to someone who does. Like me. Give you a little hint pilgrim: it’s "C______ vs. C______." And it’s one of the 1st lessons I teach in the Fiercely Independent Expat International Relocation eCourse.

It’s a very satisfying feeling being able to help you, man-to-man,  Find Your Own Never Never Land. I know how hard and long I traversed to locate my ideal expat destination. You have to find ONE path and stick to it until you see results. One path. One.

Make a decision on what you want to do and DO NOT stray from that path until you have completed what you set out to do.  Anything that doesn’t move you forward is just holding you back or leading you astray. You can see what I said about that in a quick video here.
